About Adrienne

Adrienne Stone has been involved in the healing arts for more than 35 years beginning with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy.  She has had extensive post graduate training in somatic methods including in- depth work with Milton Trager originator of the Trager® Approach and with Marion Rosen originator of Rosen Method Body work and movement.  She is a certified Trager Practitioner, tutor and teacher who teaches internationally.  She is certified as a Rosen Method Bodywork and Movement Practitioner. Over the past several years she has incorporated The Meeks Method for bone health into her practice and life.  Adrienne brings her calm presence, her long time personal yoga practice and her mindfulness meditation practice to her work.  She has a private practice in Katonah and NYC, New York.

 

 

Trager® Approach

The Trager® Approach uses skilled, gentle touch and movement to influence the central nervous system and assist with its re-organization and learning in the midst of deep relaxation.  This profound method of neuromuscular reeducation has a wide application and helps us to reconnect to our inner being which supports healing.

Rosen Method

Rosen Method uses gentle touch and words to support a deepening of our physical and emotional awareness.  It addresses the layers of chronic tension that we have accumulated as we move through our lives.  This process supports our ability to explore and uncover unconscious truths allowing us to live more fully in the present moment in our bodies and our lives.
